About the Therapist

A well established Pregnancy Massage Therapist (having seen many clients through 3 pregnancies and postnatal recovery). I offer massage, exercises and advice specifically designed for all stages of pregnancy, birth and postnatal recovery. I am also a founder of the Pregnancy and Birth Network, a group of professionals and therapists who specialise in women’s and baby’s health.

My Story

As a busy masseuse, I began attracting pregnant women to my practice. Wanting to offer my expectant mums the very best pregnancy body work I enrolled on a Diploma Course in Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage. I studied with the leading light in Pregnancy Massage, Suzanne Yates, 'Well Mother'. She has written books and teaches worldwide to midwives, doulas and therapists. It was a thorough course. To gain the Diploma I had to write a dissertation, which I have reproduced for your information, on my website: ‘Complementary Health Care for pregnancy.’

As part of a network of the very best therapists and healthcare professionals in the area, I am always able to recommend other therapists for any of the common complaints in pregnancy and postnatal recovery. Consider yourself in safe hands and a caring environment that will nurture you and your baby, supplementing and building on the care you are already receiving from your midwife.

My experience

I have two children and was fortunate to have very positive birth experiences at home. I used complementary therapies throughout my pregnancies and births. I had excellent midwives and was always prepared to go to hospital and make use of modern technology should the need arise. As a complementary therapist I believe in working closely with the medical profession.
