Homeopathy is a natural, safe and gentle way of looking after your physical and emotional health when you’re pregnant.
Often women come to see me for help with morning sickness or tiredness at the beginning of their pregnancy and then discover the value of homeopathic remedies during labour and for treating colic, teething, skin rashes, sleep problems, postnatal depression and much more…It’s an all-embracing and effective system of medicine that has been used for over 200 years.
I qualified as a homeopath in 2002 and am registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths. I have a specialist Diploma in Homeopathic Paediatrics which includes supporting women during pregnancy, birth and post-natally. This is a time of immense change on every level and I have found that homeopathy can really help women to adapt and grow in harmony with their baby and enjoy a more relaxed and gentle birth.
During pregnancy I have found homeopathy particularly helpful to resolve:
- Morning sickness, including hyperemesis,
- Ligament, joint and muscle pains, including , restless legs, cramps and Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction
- Anxiety, including fear of childbirth
- Digestive problems including heartburn, constipation and thrush.
- Fatigue and loss of energy
- Tearfulness, mood swings or depression
I can also advise on the remedies which will be most useful to you during labour and have the Helios Childbirth kit available for loan or purchase. If your baby is overdue, homeopathy may help to initiate labour.
Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s own healing abilities to restore balance and harmony. Homeopathic remedies are made from minute amounts of natural substances such as plants and minerals and are free from harmful side effects.
Vaccination Issues
As part of my work with babies and children, I have developed a particular interest in the safety and effectivenesss of vaccinations. I hold regular talks about vaccination on Tuesday evenings (7.30pm-9.30pm) at the Creative Health Centre, Leamington Spa. The cost is £10 per person.
