Keeping Relaxation Simple CD

Life can be so hectic at times so making a little regular time during pregnancy to relax is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your body and mind’s health and the wellbeing of your baby.

This recording will gently soothe and calm your mind and body.

One major advantage of helping your mind and body learn to instinctively relax and retain a sense of calmness is that when labour and birth begin, you will trust that your body knows what to do. You can then turn your birthing body over to your natural instincts and bring your baby into this world in the most natural and effective way.

When you take a few minutes daily to relax in these ways you are teaching your body how to relax and replenish your energy as your pregnancy advances. You will also be helping your baby feel calm and relaxed, your baby is more likely to be calmer and better natured when the time comes to adjust to this exciting new world following birth.

This relaxation CD can be listened to at anytime during your pregnancy.

Keeping Affirmations Simple CD

Affirmations work because we are creatures of habit and we tend to learn by repetition – doing, thinking or saying something over and over leads to new beliefs and new learnings within us. The unconscious mind makes changes in two ways. One way is by repetition of statements that we make to ourselves, either out loud or in our own heads. These statements are most effective when they are worded in the present tense, positive and with a purpose. When these statements are repeated consciously they begin to override any previous ‘negative programming’ we no longer find useful for our lives. The statements below have been designed to help you override any previous negative programming about pregnancy, birth or breast feeding. These statements will effectively reprogram your brain to enjoy your experience and allow you to feel good during the pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Another way of changing beliefs is by using a deep state of relaxation to create lasting, positive changes in your life. This CD will effectively allow you to utilise both methods as you will be listening to the Affirmations while feeling relaxed.

The benefits of listening to these affirmations are amazing, you will notice how your body is able to release tension easily, feel more comfortable during your pregnancy and you will have more energy.

You may want to repeat these Affirmations out loud or to yourself, simply play the CD in the background whilst you are working, relaxing, cooking, ironing, driving or simply doing something you enjoy. This recording is not hypnotic.

Women that have actively allowed themselves to follow these gentle affirmations experience a sense of feeling calm and empowered both throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond.

In essence, if what you are looking to achieve is a calmer, more gentle birth experience, this CD will help you program your mind to assist you with your goals. Don’t worry if the affirmations feel or sound strange at first, keep listening and you will begin to experience them in a very different way.

You have a selection of 3 tracks on this CD. The first track concentrates on your Pregnancy. The second track focuses on The Actual Day of Birth and the third track is designed to help you Breast Feed your baby. To keep things simple we have referred to your baby as ‘he’, so please make the mental change if you are expecting a girl.

Enjoy the Affirmations and welcome to a wonderful birth experience.

Keeping Breathing for Labour Simple CD

The key to a calmer, more comfortable experience of your birth is to let your body do the work. Being relaxed during birth will allow your body to release the necessary hormones and chemicals to ensure a gentle birth. You simply need to release all fear, let your body take over, remain relaxed and breathe through each contraction.

Breathing has amazing benefits in that it helps your body to release any tension, aids the working muscles of your uterus and the more relaxed your remain, the more manageable the contractions become. Each contraction will be effective and ensure your labour progresses smoothly. It is this physical state of deep relaxation that enables you to work with your body and baby, therefore dramatically reducing and oftentimes eliminating discomfort. A further benefit to remaining relaxed is that the first stage of labour is often reduced by several hours. Focusing on your breathing is an excellent method of moving your body and mind into a more relaxed state.

Women that have followed these simple breathing techniques experience a sense of feeling calm and empowered whilst being able to relax and focus only on their breathing through each contraction. Breathing purposefully through each contraction will ensure you become more deeply relaxed and let your body do what it is designed to do, birth your baby.

With 5 minutes daily practice from as early as 12 weeks into your pregnancy you will begin to condition your body into deep relaxation as you breathe. This daily practice can be done before you get out of bed in the morning or before you go to sleep at night. Once you have perfected your breathing techniques you can practice them without the CD whilst sat in traffic or on the train or tube on the way to work.

Birth Balls

A wonderful way to spend time during your pregnancy!

Our high quality birth ball is latex-free, non slip and anti-burst for your comfort. Anti-burst means you can rest easy knowing that if you ball punctured it would gradually deflate and you and your baby will be safe.

These balls are tested to the highest standards for weights up to 300kgs!

You will receive a free pump with each ball as well as a free user manual showing you how you can best enjoy your ball, during and after pregnancy!

What size should you consider for your height?
Your position on your birth ball should be a supported squat; this means that when you sit on your ball your hips should be higher than your knees (by about 10cm). This will allow your pelvis to tilt forward encouraging your baby into the best position for birth.

You will experience these benefits during pregnancy when using your ball:
- Your hips tilting forward will encourage baby into the optimal position for birth
- Your back and hips will feel supported therefore reducing any discomfort
- You will strengthen your leg muscles in a supported squat
- It is a great place to do your pelvic floor exercises and strengthen your core muscles

Benefits of your ball during birth
- Encourages movement through your pelvis (rocking & rolling your hips)
- Relieves hip discomfort during labour
- Promotes forward tilting of the pelvis and therefore opening your birth path more easily

As this ball is non-slip it is recommended that you do not use any cover for your ball.

Enjoy your Birth Ball, rock and roll away! We wish you a pregnancy and birth to celebrate!
