Reflexology Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the feet and hands correspond to individual parts of the body. During treatment gentle stimulation of these points relaxes and rebalances the body. It is safe to use for subfertility, pre-conception and during and after pregnancy. The changes experienced at these times affect the emotions and hormonal and psychological balance of the body. Research has shown that regular Reflexology during pregnancy can shorten labour and reduce the need for pain relief. Aromatherapy Aromatherapy combines hands on touch with the safe use of essential oils to aid relaxation, hormaonal balancing, pain relief and well being. The following symptoms can be helped: Pre-Conception *Anxiety and stress * Hormonal imbalances
In Pregnancy *Heartburn *Hormonal imbalances *Backache *Sciatica *Nausea *High blood pressure *Oedema *Constipation *Preparation for labour *Insomnia *Relaxation *Symphhsis pubis dysfunction (SPD)
Postnatally *Adjusting to a new life *Improved milk production *Sleep problems *Increased energy levels *Balancing hormones and the menstrual cycle as it returns to normal
Contraindications Reflexology should not be undertaken when there is a history of premature labour, severe hypertension, pre-eclampsia, deep vein thrombosis or phlebitis
